Mobile App Redesign Concept
2021
Project Summary
Poshmark is a marketplace application where merchants offer fashion-related items, primarily second-hand, to interested buyers. However, the app has been on the market for over ten years now and fails to stick out as a memorable shopping app within an over-saturated Social Commerce industry.

The Problem
How might we improve the overall branded experience of Poshmark so that the app is easier to use, while ensuring that the primary user base is more brand loyal, amongst an overly grown and saturated social commerce retail industry?
Main Goals
Redesign the Poshmark UX+UI so that trendsetting, fashion-inspired millennials can more easily use the app to connect with verified sellers through a more personalized, yet less overwhelming shopping flow.

Project Challenges
Only for class
This project ended up only ended up being an educational case study - we reached out to Poshmark to present our findings and learn more from their feedback but never heard back.
Limited Timeline
This whole project was conducted within a smaller two-week timeline that included research, three fidelities of design, development documentation, and presentation of findings.
First attempt at development handoff documentation
This project was my teams first exposure to front-end development handoff documentation so we were rather timid of fully diving into coding any of this ourselves. We ended up using tools like Zeplin to assist us in generating code, which we then had to QA and test ourselves.
